The founder of OPR, David C. Showers, CPO, began offering professional consulting services in 1985. Initially, most of the requests for services came from the legal profession. However, OPR has expanded to include a variety of orthotic-prosthetic services pertaining to non-patient-care issues.      The primary focus of OPR is to provide peer support to the small orthotic-prosthetic facility owner or practitioner who may need assistance in developing and implementing a facility improvement plan and/or quality assessment plan, establishing patient record and documentation procedures and in preparing for facility accreditation.      OPR has the expertise and experience to assist in the development of an orthotic and/or prosthetic practice, to render expert evaluation and testimony of an orthotic/prosthetic product or service.
